I was born in Milan at the Whitlatch Clinic in 1954 during the "Hoosiers" phenomena. I grew up with the Shoot twice a year for as long as I can remember. I have moved and lived far afield before, but don't foresee returning to SE IN any time soon. Trying to explain a shoot to a non-initiated person can be a challenge. People wearing loincloths? Well, not everyone, it depends on how "in costume" you want to get. A cup made out of a bull's scrotum at one of the stalls? At the time I saw this the offer was "Free drink to anyone who drinks from this cup." It was VERY dusty!! The setting, the smell, the sounds, this is not a "re-enactment" this is a Shoot.
